BLACKPINK FELL IN LOVE WITH BARCELONA'S POWERFUL PINK OCEAN

Last Monday, the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona changed its colours to pink in order to welcome the biggest K-pop girl group Blackpink. 

Inside the venue, Barcelona's crowd created an enormous pink ocean so Blackpink could easily find all their Blinks who love and support them endlessly. The girls were very surprised to find an extremely dedicated, supporting and loud crowd that didn't stop cheering and singing with all their energy and strength for them until the very end.

Inma Exma had the opportunity to attend Blackpink's Born Pink show in Barcelona thanks to Last Tour, hence, I want to express my gratitude to them for the invitation and for being so kind and accommodating.

Long queues could be seen around Palau Sant Jordi from early afternoon, the excitement and nervousness could be felt in the atmosphere. 

A 12 year old girl in one of the queues, who came accompanied by her father, couldn't stop repeating that she was going to "cry the moment she saw Lisa". Somewhere else, two friends were singing along Blackpink's songs while trying to find their way to the right queue for their tickets. From entire families, to group of friends, to people attending the concert alone, the different age range was extremely wide.

Blinks all around Spain and Europe gathered in Barcelona with the same dream: see their favourite girl group live. Although Blinks can have different biases and different opinions on their favourite Blackpink song, there's one thing that will always bring them together: their love for the Korean girl group.

Before the show started, Blinks were already cheering loudly for Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa. Blackpink's music videos were playing on the screens at Palau Sant Jordi and the crowd sang along all the songs. The moment the lights went out and the music started playing louder, the enormous pink ocean gave me goosebumps.

The concert started with a video intro, the interlude 'The Enchanted Garden', playing on the screens, increasing the audience's excitement and desire to see Blackpink on stage.

When the four Blackpink members appeared on stage, the live band started playing 'How You Like That' and the crowd went crazy.

The girl group performed the first three songs -'How You Like That', 'Pretty Savage' and 'Whistle'- one after the other nonstop. 

After finishing 'Whistle', they took the time to greet their Blinks filling the Palau Sant Jordi to the brim and introduce themselves. 

Rosé explained that they were so excited to be back in Barcelona after three years and a half and she also mentioned how much they had missed their Blinks in Barcelona. 

Right after the quick break to catch their breath, the four girls performed 'Don't Know What To Do' and 'Lovesick Girls'.

Later on, the first outfit change quickly took place, and after Interlude I, the girls went back on stage to perform 'Kill This Love', 'Crazy Over You' and 'Playing With Fire'. 

Previous to the second outfit change, it was time for two songs included in their latest album Born Pink: 'Tally' and their pre-single hit 'Pink Venom'.

Upon reaching halfway of the show, each Blackpink member had the moment to shine solo. The solo performances section was opened by Jisoo covering Camila Cabello's 'Liar'. Although we don't have Jisoo's official solo yet, her cover of 'Liar' allows her to showcase her sweet and beautiful voice. Moreover, it's a music style that, in my opinion, suits her so well, to the point that it could be the kind of style she goes for with her oficial solo, when the time comes.

The second solo performance was Jennie with her yet unreleased song 'You & Me (Moonlight)'. During the first chorus, Jennie and one of the dancers offer a very visually appealing performance, looking like a ballet couple dancing in a music box. 

With outstanding vocals, Rosé starts her solo performance singing 'Hard To Love', the unexpected solo song we got in the Born Pink album, before diving into a more choreographed-focused performance with the title track of her solo album 'On The Ground'.

To finish the solo performances section of the show, Lisa, the maknae of the group, starts with a snippet of her single 'LALISA' before performing her powerful track 'Money' where the artist herself and the dancers deliver a mind-blowing performance.

Only four songs were left before the encore when the third outfit change took place while the last interlude was playing on the screens.

After being welcomed again into the stage by the Blinks in Barcelona, Blackpink proceded to perform their latest title track and hit 'Shut Down' making the crowd scream even louder, if that was possible.

Then it was the turn for 'Typa Girl', -also included in their latest album-, followed by their golden 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' and 'Forever Young'.

Throughout the whole concert, the girls kept repeating how amazed they were with the Barcelona's crowd and how loud and energetic they were. Lisa stated that while they were changing outfits, they could hear the cheers and screams, and she got goosebumps.

The truth is, the crowd at Palau Sant Jordi didn't stop cheering and singing not even for a moment during the concert, the whole atmosphere and energy that could be felt throughout the entire show was absolutely astounding.

Although the girls said their goodbyes, the crowd knew there was an encore and patiently waited for it a few minutes. 

Only three songs are part of this tour's encore, -'Yeah Yeah Yeah', 'Stay' and 'As If It's Your Last'- however, the Blinks in the Palau Sant Jordi wanted more and asked for the group's debut song 'Boombayah'. 

After realizing that the audience was asking for their debut song that wasn't part of the setlist for this tour, the girls asked: 'You want Boombayah?', then Jennie decided to please a crowd that gave their everything throughout the entire night and stated: 'Only for Barcelona we'll go Boombayah! Only for you guys!'. The band needed a few minutes to get ready to play a song that wasn't include in the setlist, and as soon as the first chords of 'Boombayah' started playing Rosé said: 'Boombayah for Barcelona!'.

Following the impromptu performance of 'Boombayah', it was the turn of the last song of the night 'As If It's Your Last'. The whole venue turned into a huge party where the joy was overflowing.

Since for both Blackpink and Blinks was hard to say 'Goodbye', we said 'See you soon' instead, hoping that the next reunion will be as soon as possible. Undoubtedly, it was a night Blackpink and Blinks will never ever forget, how could we? When our hearts are so full after the wonderful experience we shared together.

El pasado lunes, el Palau Sant Jordi de Barcelona cambió sus colores a rosa para dar la bienvenida al mayor grupo femenino de K-pop, Blackpink.

Dentro del lugar, la multitud de Barcelona creó un enorme océano rosa para que Blackpink pudiera encontrar fácilmente a todos sus Blinks que las aman y las apoyan sin cesar. Las chicas se sorprendieron mucho al encontrar una multitud extremadamente dedicada, poderosa y enérgica que no dejó de animar y cantar con toda su fuerza para ellas desde el principio hasta el final.

Inma Exma tuvo la oportunidad de asistir al concierto de Blackpink en Barcelona gracias a Last Tour, es por eso que quiero expresarles mi agradecimiento por la invitación y por ser tan amables conmigo.

Desde primera hora de la tarde, se podían ver largas colas en los alrededores del Palau Sant Jordi.

Una niña de 12 años que venía acompañada de su padre, no dejaba de repetir que iba a "llorar en cuanto viera a Lisa". En otro lugar, dos amigas estaban cantando las canciones de Blackpink mientras intentaban encontrar el camino a la fila correcta para sus entradas. 

Desde familias enteras, hasta grupos de amigos, hasta personas que asistían solas al concierto, el diferente rango de edad era extremadamente amplio.

Blinks de toda España y Europa reunidos en Barcelona con un mismo sueño: ver en directo a su girl group favorito. 

Aunque los Blinks pueden tener diferentes bias y diferentes opiniones sobre cuál es su canción favorita de Blackpink, hay una cosa que siempre los unirá: su amor por el grupo femenino coreano.

Antes de que comenzara el espectáculo, los Blinks ya animaban con todas sus fuerzas a Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé y Lisa. Los videos musicales de Blackpink se reproducían en las pantallas del Palau Sant Jordi y la multitud cantaba todas las canciones. En el momento en que se apagaron las luces y la música comenzó a sonar más fuerte, el enorme océano rosa me puso la piel de gallina.

El concierto comenzó con una introducción en video, el interludio 'The Enchanted Garden', reproduciéndose en las pantallas, aumentando la emoción y el deseo de la audiencia de ver a Blackpink sobre el escenario. Cuando las cuatro integrantes de Blackpink aparecieron en el escenario, la banda en vivo comenzó a tocar 'How You Like That' y la multitud enloqueció.

El grupo femenino interpretó las primeras tres canciones, -'How You Like That', 'Pretty Savage' y 'Whistle'-, una tras otra sin parar.

Tras terminar 'Whistle', se tomaron el tiempo para saludar a sus Blinks que llenaban el Palau Sant Jordi y presentarse.

Rosé explicó que estaban muy emocionadas de estar de vuelta en Barcelona después de tres años y medio y también mencionó cuánto habían echado de menos a sus Blinks de Barcelona.

Justo después del breve descanso para recuperar el aliento, las cuatro chicas interpretaron 'Don't Know What To Do' y 'Lovesick Girls'.

Más tarde, el primer cambio de outfit se llevó a cabo rápidamente, y después del Interludio I, las chicas volvieron al escenario para interpretar 'Kill This Love', 'Crazy Over You' y 'Playing With Fire'.

Previo al segundo cambio de outfit, llegó el momento de incluir dos canciones de su último álbum Born Pink: 'Tally' y su éxitoso pre-single 'Pink Venom'.

Al llegar a la mitad del espectáculo, cada miembro de Blackpink tuvo el momento de brillar en solitario. La sección de actuaciones en solitario fue abierta por Jisoo versionando 'Liar' de Camila Cabello. Aunque todavía no tenemos el solo oficial de Jisoo, su versión de 'Liar' le permite lucir su dulce voz. Además, es un estilo de música que, en mi opinión, se adecúa perfectamente a ella, hasta el punto de que podría ser el tipo de estilo musical que ella elija para su solo oficial, llegado el momento.

La segunda actuación en solitario fue Jennie con su canción aún inédita 'You & Me (Moonlight)'. Durante el primer coro, Jennie y uno de los bailarines ofrecen una actuación visualmente muy atractiva, pareciendo una pareja de ballet bailando en una caja de música.

Luciendo su magnífica voz, Rosé comienza su actuación en solitario cantando 'Hard To Love', la inesperada canción en solitario que obtuvimos en el álbum Born Pink, antes de sumergirse en una actuación más centrada en la coreografía con la canción principal de su álbum en solitario 'On The Ground'.

Para terminar la sección de presentaciones en solitario del espectáculo, Lisa, la maknae del grupo, comienza con un fragmento de su sencillo 'LALISA' antes de interpretar su poderosa canción 'Money', donde la artista y los bailarines ofrecen una actuación impresionante que no deja a nadie indiferente.

Solo quedaban cuatro canciones antes del bis cuando se llevó a cabo el tercer cambio de atuendo mientras se reproducía el último interludio en las pantallas del Palau Sant Jordi.

Después de ser recibidas nuevamente en el escenario por sus Blinks en Barcelona, Blackpink procedió a interpretar su último éxito 'Shut Down' haciendo que los gritos de la multitud fueran aún más ensordecedores, si eso era posible.

Luego le tocó el turno a 'Typa Girl', -también incluida en su último disco-, seguida de sus famosos temas 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' y 'Forever Young'.

A lo largo de todo el concierto, las chicas repitieron lo sorprendidas que estaban con lo ruidoso y energético que era el público de Barcelona. Lisa dijo que mientras se cambiaban de ropa, podían escuchar los vítores y los gritos, y se le puso la piel de gallina.

La verdad es que el público del Palau Sant Jordi no paró de animar y cantar ni un sólo momento durante el concierto, todo el ambiente y la energía que se pudo sentir durante todo el espectáculo fue absolutamente increíble.

Aunque las chicas se despidieron, la multitud sabía que había un bis y esperaron pacientemente durante unos minutos.

Solo tres temas forman parte del bis de esta gira, -'Yeah Yeah Yeah', 'Stay' y 'As If It's Your Last'-, sin embargo, los Blinks en el Palau Sant Jordi querían más y pidieron el tema debut del grupo 'Boombayah'.

Después de darse cuenta de que el público estaba pidiendo su canción debut que no formaba parte del setlist de esta gira, las chicas preguntaron: '¿Queréis Boombayah?', entonces Jennie decidió complacer a una multitud que lo dio todo durante toda la noche y declaró: "¡Solo por Barcelona haremos Boombayah! ¡Solo para vosotros!". La banda necesitó unos minutos para prepararse para tocar un tema que no estaba en el setlist, y en cuanto empezaron a sonar los primeros acordes de 'Boombayah', Rosé dijo: "¡Boombayah para Barcelona!".

Tras la actuación improvisada de 'Boombayah', llegó el turno del último tema de la noche 'As If It's Your Last'. Todo el recinto se convirtió en una gran fiesta donde la alegría se desbordó.

Dado que tanto para Blackpink como para Blinks fue difícil decir 'Adiós', dijimos 'Hasta pronto' en su lugar, con la esperanza de que la próxima reunión sea lo antes posible. Sin duda, fue una noche que Blackpink y Blinks nunca olvidarán, ¿cómo podríamos? Cuando nuestros corazones están tan llenos después de la maravillosa experiencia que compartimos juntos.

Una vez más, quiero expresar mi agradecimiento a Last Tour por invitarme a cubrir el concierto de Blackpink en Barcelona, ha sido un placer trabajar y colaborar con ellos.
