HEALING TOGETHER WITH THE ROSE IN BARCELONA

On February 19, The Rose brought their magical music and energy to Razzmatazz in Barcelona. In an unforgettable night where the audience could feel their souls healing with each song, The Rose and Black Roses sang together and celebrated the moment, because you shouldn't 'live your life like you have a thousand years'.

Inma Exma had the honor to cover The Rose concert in Barcelona.

Barcelona was the last stop of the band's Heal Together tour, and the energy was immaculate. The South Korean indie rock band performed in Barcelona during their We Rose You Live tour back in 2019. After waiting almost 4 years, going through a pandemic, and longing for the group during their military service, the city was eager to experience another The Rose concert. 

'Definition of ugly is', the first song in their latest album 'HEAL', was the chosen song to open the concert, followed by 'Insomnia', one of the band's hits 'She's in the rain' and 'Modern Life', included in Woosung's MOTH EP album.

Introducing themselves in Spanish as "La Rosa", the band expressed their joy to be back in Barcelona after a long time and they were having lots of fun with the enthusiastic crowd since minute one.

After the first ment, it was the turn of lively songs. 'California', 'I Don't Know You’, 'Candy' and 'Red' made the audience dance and smile nonstop. The happy and warm feeling that these songs give you turned Razzmatazz into a big party.

A very special moment took place at this point of the concert, Woosung's birthday is on February 25, however, since Barcelona was the last stop of the tour and there were only a few days left for his birthday, the team members surprised the singer with a birthday cake. The audience sang happy birthday to Woosung, he was touched and thanked everyone, also joked in a very Woosung way: "first of all is not my birthday today".

As The Rose sing in 'Cure': 'everybody fears the one thing they can't cure', and another moment to cure our wounds and heal all together arrived with the third set of songs. The band performed 'See-Saw', 'Childhood', 'ILY', 'Shift', 'Time' and 'Yes' and they felt like a hug to the soul.

Before starting with the fourth and last set of songs, Woosung introduced their debut song 'Sorry' saying: "This song is what made it possible for us to be on this stage in Barcelona in front of your beautiful beautiful faces". 

'Beauty and the beast', 'Cure', 'Sour' and 'Black Rose' were the last songs the band performed on stage. During 'Black Rose', a song dedicated to their fans, The Rose gift their Black Roses with red roses, a heartwarming moment before saying goodbye, or rather, see you soon.

The healing project for The Rose and Black Roses that started with the release of the band's album 'HEAL', continued with the 'Heal Together' world tour. Although the tour came to an end and healing is a process that takes a long time, ‘the healing won’t be overnight, countless nights crying over mights, the healing will take time' (The Rose - Time), we took the first step and said 'yes' to 'erase the memories that make us thin, what a beautiful feeling, just walk with me, side by side, sharing our time' (The Rose - Yes).

The Rose and Black Roses had the opportunity to reunite and heal together connecting through music and genuine love, and if that isn't the most beautiful thing someone can experience, I don't know what is.

SANANDO JUNTO CON THE ROSE EN BARCELONA

El 19 de febrero, The Rose llevó su mágica música y energía a Razzmatazz en Barcelona. En una noche inolvidable donde el público pudo sentir cómo se curaba su alma con cada canción, The Rose y Black Roses cantaron juntos y celebraron el momento, porque no debes 'live your life like you have a thousand years' ("vivir tu vida como si tuvieras mil años").

Inma Exma tuvo el honor de cubrir el concierto de The Rose en Barcelona.

Barcelona fue la última parada de la gira Heal Together de la banda, y la energía fue increíble. La banda indie rock Coreana actuó en Barcelona durante su gira We Rose You Live en 2019. Después de esperar casi 4 años, vivir una pandemia y añorar al grupo durante su servicio militar, la ciudad estaba ansiosa por vivir otro concierto de The Rose.

'Definition of ugly is', la primera canción de su último disco 'HEAL', fue la canción elegida para abrir el concierto, seguida de 'Insomnia', uno de los éxitos de la banda 'She's in the rain' y 'Modern Life', incluida en el álbum MOTH EP de Woosung.  

Presentándose como "La Rosa", la banda expresó su alegría por estar de vuelta en Barcelona después de tanto tiempo y se divirtieron mucho con el entusiasmo del público desde el minuto uno.

Tras el primer ment, llegó el turno de las canciones animadas. 'California', 'I Don't Know You', 'Candy' y 'Red' hicieron bailar y sonreír al público sin parar. La sensación de alegría y calidez que te transmiten estas canciones hicieron que Razzmatazz se convirtiese en una gran fiesta.  

Un momento muy especial se dio a estas alturas del concierto, el cumpleaños de Woosung es el 25 de febrero, sin embargo, como Barcelona era la última parada de la gira y faltaban pocos días para su cumpleaños, los miembros del equipo sorprendieron al cantante con un pastel de cumpleaños. El público le cantó feliz cumpleaños a Woosung, y éste se emocionó y agradeció a todos, además bromeó de una manera muy Woosung: “primero que nada hoy no es mi cumpleaños”.

Como canta The Rose en 'Cure': 'everybody fears the one they can't cure' ("todos temen lo único que no pueden curar"), y otro momento para curar nuestras heridas y sanar todos juntos llegó con la tercera serie de canciones. La banda interpretó 'See-Saw', 'Childhood', 'ILY', 'Shift', 'Time' y 'Yes' y se sintieron como un abrazo al alma.

Antes de comenzar con el cuarto y último conjunto de canciones, Woosung presentó la canción debut de la banda 'Sorry' diciendo: "Esta canción  hizo posible que estuviéramos en este escenario en Barcelona frente a vuestros hermosos rostros".  

'Beauty and the beast', 'Cure', 'Sour' y 'Black Rose' fueron las últimas canciones que la banda interpretó sobre el escenario. Durante 'Black Rose', una canción dedicada a sus fans, The Rose regalaron rosas rojas a sus Black Roses, un momento conmovedor antes de decir adiós, o más bien, hasta pronto.

El proyecto de sanación de The Rose y Black Roses que comenzó con el lanzamiento del álbum de la banda 'HEAL', continuó con la gira mundial 'Heal Together'. Aunque la gira llegó a su fin y sanar es un proceso que lleva mucho tiempo, 'the healing won’t be overnight, countless nights crying over mights, the healing will take time' ("la curación no será de la noche a la mañana, innumerables noches llorando por lo que podría haber sido, sanar llevará tiempo”), hemos dado el primero paso y hemos dicho 'yes' ("sí") a 'erase the memories that make us thin, what a beautiful feeling, just walk with me, side by side, sharing our time' ("borrar los recuerdos que nos hacen finos, qué sentimiento tan bonito, solo camina conmigo, juntos el uno al lado del otro, compartiendo nuestro tiempo"). 

The Rose y Black Roses tuvieron la oportunidad de reunirse y sanar juntos conectándose a través de la música y el amor sincero, y si eso no es lo más bonito que alguien puede vivir, no sé qué es.
